Thanks Sam, first time in a long time we have appointed a senior coach from outside the club or RAAF, very good to have everything in place for 2010 this early. The 18s will be a challenge to set up, but i have plenty of time on my hands to do that.

Congrats Pekay, I know for a number of years that we have tried to do something similar but people just don't want to travel that far to be involved with a lower division club.

How do you think you'll go getting the numbers for an 18's side? I know a lot of your juniors were travelling over to play 18's with Holroyd last season.

We're lucky in that Bully actually lives in the area. I've been trying to get him down to Bensons for quite some time, as early as 2007 even when he had the job at Mac Uni, and more so this year when he wasn't. It took til the end of the year to get him down with his busy workload, but eventually he came down and it was a blessing, as I was bed bound after my leg injury. The boys made him feel welcome when he came down, he saw that we have a good structure here and some great talent on our list, so to have him accept the job is a real coup for us, very happy.
My job won't be easy with the 18s set-up, but the league has given us a bit of help in that regard, I believe it was mentioned at the Planning Meeting. I will elaborate further when I can, but it is a helping hand through the Alliance.

I can asure you that the Eagles have every intention of fielding a Premier Cup and Challenge Cup side in 2010 and will fight tooth and nail to do so. and PK is right, there has as yet been no meeting between the clubs. Im sure the clubs will meet in the future to discuss how we Norwest can get their under 18s program off the ground, but as yet it is just that, in the future.

As someone who played under Bully and Wookie and then DK, you have no idea the difference in quality.... Unquestionably, our team would have produced better results and competed with the likes of UTS and Manly with DKs leadership.

Bully thinks he is too big for his own boots and his comment about Wookie "not being always right" is incredibly accurate and just results in pissing people off. Just wait til he's trying to explain a drill, using 400 f bombs and saying the same thing over and over and over for 5 mins while you're freezing your tits off...

Arrogance and the Clown. Good luck with it... i'm glad they wont be around Mac Uni anymore.

well i guess you will get your chance next season.
i bet you wouldnt have bagged them to their faces. speaking to some of the boys who played there dk didnt even speak to half the blokes because he was to intimidated by them.
great work winning a flag but dont get too big for your boots champ.

Its football mate, not primary school. Swearing won't matter too much. As for the other things, every coach or assistant has their detractors, I know plenty that still aren't happy with DK & Dean, despite his results. As for Wookie, if some of your blokes ended up being 'pissed off', maybe they're a bit precious.
And in regards to standing around explaining himself while everyone freezes their tits off, well, you haven't trained at Bensons in winter, he'll be told in no uncertain terms that we are standing around for too long. He'll be too cold himself... Lucky if it stays above zero from June onwards.
                            But, appreciate your input.
