Don't know. A couple of clubs were interested in one, but I don't think he's signed anywhere (yet). And so far as I know, Balmain wasn't one of them.

WHere as you guys talk it up AND actually think its a good thing to score some bloke who coach a second rate club in a second rate comp and still coulnt take them to the finals despite having the backing of a pretty big sport and leisure facility at the university.
A second rate club eh? Well, over the last decade Mac Uni were the only club to win three SFA flags on the trot in the long history of that comp and it was a MUCH stronger comp back then with Sydney Uni, Wollongong and UNSW as well as Manly and a strong Holroyd. They also made the finals in 2001-02 and won the flag this year. They have also consistently put four teams on the park.
Whilst Mr Bull did not have huge success on the park he certainly played a strong part in their recently rebuilding that means they will be playing in Division 1 this year.
I can only assume that you come from an SFL club and spend the your time with your head up your own ar$e with a self-inflated view of your own comp whilst looking down on others to make yourself feel better. If you are from Balmain your post is even more riduculous because you guys wrote the book on what a second rate club is....Last edited by Mug Punter; 9 November 2009, 05:26 PM.Comment

You OK princess?? Geez you carry on like a tit. I haven't bagged your club out at all, I was in fact having a lend of you, and you took the bait. Read thru previous posts, I have never bagged out your club, nor talked up mine. You took the bait pretty easily though!!
I hope it works out for your club with the signing, but one man doesn't bring results, no matter what he has done. Pretty narrow minded if you think he will.
I am sure Saddo will be competitive but he was never a great player anyway and I reckon he will be shocked at the task in hand and also perhaps surprised at the standard of some of the players marking him.
I would have wished Balmain good luck anyway but after Cheesecake's post I am not feeling so generous.....Comment

Anyone that gives no credit to Bully for the job he did at Mac Uni is a fool, including the bloke on another thread from Mac Uni. He set up the club for DK to take over (And I have alot of time for DK) developed many players there, and DK did the rest. Any insinuation that Bully failed in his job is absurd. Sure, any coach that doesn't take his team to finals would be unhappy, but there are only four, maybe five spots to fill in our comps, and you can only piss with the wang you're given, right? We are very happy with his appointment out here, and believe he will steer our boys in the right direction, he will provide the tactical nous that I couldn't, and I look forward to seeing the results.
As for Cheescake and his comments, I think there is something a little deeper in his comments, and if Saddo does fail, you'll probably find Cheesecake will be the first to jump on the "Sack Saddo and give us our money back" bandwagon. Can't have it both ways.
Also, from the original article, what on earth gives Balmain any exclusivity over the Central Coast? Penno would unofficially hold that mantle, with players like both McVeighs, Adam Cambourne, Dylan Triegardt, Ray Hall and many others plying their trade through juniors and into colts/seniors at Ern Holmes, logistically the closest venue off the F3.Comment

Yeah nice one Pekay. At least we get blokes with some credentials to our club. WHere as you guys talk it up AND actually think its a good thing to score some bloke who coach a second rate club in a second rate comp and still coulnt take them to the finals despite having the backing of a pretty big sport and leisure facility at the university.
Yeah Id be cheering that and then bagging a club that goes out and gets a guy whos played in an AFL grand final and learnt from the likes of Rocket Eade and Dennis Pagan.

Seems everyone in the higher levels just bag the lower grades, i seem to remember the league saying that they hope to keep increasing the level of football across all grades. Does anyone up there think that without lower grades the level can get better. there is so much dribble written on this site it amazes me we even have football played here at all. Lets just get on with it.Comment
