    Very well said Mr Macguire.

There will be at least 50% INs for Balmain in Round 1 2010 compared with Round 22 2009. They have lost 5 good young players to Victoria at least, plus their leading goal kicker has gone overseas.

    Good luck to Saddo though.

Can confirm from a very reliable source that those balmain boys are in fact in melbourne already. Good on them. Its a shame dockers couldnt entice them with more $$. They lost some very good 20 - 22 year old players that can actually play.

Wouldnt be surprised too see most of them come back when they dont make the grade though, my info is they are doing pre-season and trialing
The edge is not the limit, It's just the starting point...

As a current balmain docker player who has played the last couple of seasons at the club.I do agree that the club has struggled on and off the paddock but there still is a strong heartbeat down in dockerland, with the introduction of new players/coaches and with improved facilities/equipment there is only a forward direction to travel. The playing group will change here and there but balmain is back in 2010 in a big way!!!.

I'd get a couple of wins on the board first before you come on here shooting your mouth off, you have a fair bit of catching up to do.....

Good luck Bigshow. 2010 should be an interesting season.
It'll be a challenge for Balmain; but with an upbeat attitude like yours, and if the club can attract the right sort of people, there's scope for things to turn around. At times they've been competitive - in both 2008 and 2009 they beat the reigning premiers and played good footy. If they can reproduce that sort of form more often, they'll cause a few worries for some more highly-fancied clubs.

Cry me a river Big Shot.....

Couldn't care less how you go really but I am afraid that Balmain players and supporters have a habit of coming in here and bigging themselves up and not backing it up.

Really glad to hear you are looking forward to the season, provided your mob can get their act together off-field and Saddo can get a few of his AFL mates down you may go OK and I'd have no problem with that. It is only November though so I'll wait till we get to the end of Round 6 to say you are back.

Any news whether you are ditching the offers of second hand footies and Freo Docker windcheaters and going back to your proper moniker of the Tigers?

it has been stated in another thread that you have lost 11 of your best players. Surely this leaves your list a bit deflated! how is ur list looking big show?
and how are you going to win with out these [player / a list ?

Once Saddington gets a grip on how that joint is run he'll be out of there in a flash which will leave them in an even more dire situation. This masssive outflow of players seems an almost annual event, surely something has to give eventually.

Ive heard the rumors about players leaving but some are trialing in vic at the moment. The only thing that i can say is that pre season will tell the truth, but not all the players mentioned are gone and at preso night there was alot of positive energy from players towards the 2010 season.

pug munter balmain is only as good as there last game and i think that was a win over north shore at gore hill wasnt it.The faded footies and jackets are already on there way.I think the freo partnership is a good thing for sydney footy but history is important to a club.

Great attitude and good luck to the Jets and your own healing leg in 2010.

Talk of the timing of starting pre-season training is good; but we'll make a new thread for that. The rest of this thread is rapidly going downhill. Lockage.
