Don't know what your source is; but I doubt it. He's not a bad player, but I doubt any club would throw around that sort of coin.

Rumour was he was all set to leave and got an offer that was too good to refuse. I am not sure whether it would have been that much though. I doubt any clubs in the comp would offer him that.

Absolutely Moronic. Anyone bar someone with Afl experience getting paid that coin in our league is Ludicrus. The Afl should step in if its true, especially conidering the deal for their land isnt even signed off on yet
The edge is not the limit, It's just the starting point...

They want to build a team. Blums will will have some grooming issues with Tim Schmidt - they are both blonde pretty boys battling for the face of the Dockers.

IF this money aint signed off yet then this is a serious concern.

I actually welcome guys like Saddo and Scmidt coming to play in Sydney and it will get me down to see them play for sure. It's great for the game but it needs to be sustainable. Surely the NSWAFL are across this as the situation of, for example, Saddo not getting paid would be a major embarrassment for the game. Let's not forget they do have some form here (e.g. Luffy)

My info is from speaking last week to someone who has ties with the club that they have been offered money for the development site, when asked how much they were told well get around 8 Mill, he then said what do you mean around, if its a done deal it should be an exact figure with contracts signed. Apparently thats not the case, doesnt mean it wont happen but you know what they say about if your Aunty had.........

boys,im not sure whos giving you your info but i can confirm 100% that the deal involving the development of the sports club site is done and dusted. We are under NDA's so can't tell you details around dollar figures and terms, but its 100% signed, sealed and delivered. So you dont have to have any concerns around balmains signings, money and letting the sydneyafl down with the current course that the dockers fleet is on we will have a strong club on and off the field for years to come.In regards to $600 a game thats so far off the mark its not funny .

Bit of further Xmas cheer for the boys from Drummoyne with news of another recruit - a 6 foot 5 full forward with VFL / AFL experience - looks like they may be getting their act together at Dockerland!! Good news for the SFL with another team looking to be competitive in 2010.... a strategy that brings together a mix of quality experienced footballers (AFL / VFL / SANFL / A Grade Vic Amateurs) and developing young kids will be good for all. That thrown in with Merrick Watts leading sponsorship and events will make for hopefully an enjoyable 2010 - great news after a few tough years!! Anyone looking to be part of this fresh start is more than welcome to join us at Mahoney Reserve Marrickville on the 11th Jan - Balmain Dockers on the move..... Schmidt Brothers join Saddington's crew (what next??)

Keep an eye out for further developments also....
