Having an odd number of teams, and a bye, isn't ideal. But UTS have shown they're worthy of promotion, and they are too strong on and off the field to not be promoted.

With Wests moving back to Picken Oval next season, Henson Park is available and would be the obvious choice for their home ground.

Congrats to UTS, well done on all the hard work by the players and committee. Interesting to see how they will handle the transition to premier league.

They have a great culture down there, evident at the GF this year, no-one made more noise than UTS' supporters, and when they sung their song after the game, it sounded incredible.

The step up to Premier Division is huge for them, opens up so many more possibilities for sponsorship with TV games (although only a few, its still good exposure) and their player networking is enormous. You only have to look at the clearance boards every year to see the cattle from the Ammo leagues in Vic & SA, and with a good enough full time base- Henson, Mahony or Alan Davidson seem logical) they can attract players from other clubs.

It's a great move by the league, and although they would've been soundly defeated by either Premier team in the GF, such was the speed of that game, I reckon they can go top 5 in their 1st year. [Mod Edit: Frog (violation of RWO rule 5)]

Na, the group I was with seperated from the ECE crowd, as they went silent when Uni put 4 goals on in quick time. Silent- while your team is down- on the biggest day of the year? Still baffles me.

Pk PK PK........................ So now your having a crack at ECE supporters DO you ever stop?

BTW this was copied from your post "Pleased to say that sitting behind the goals abusing those in Students guernseys (and serenading goal umpires in spare time) has renewed my hatred for Sydney Uni. Still, I hate all the uni teams."

What are we to believe from you anymore??????????

Not according to the release from the AFL yesterday, 11 team competitions in both Premier Division and Division One with the Power and UTS being promoted from Division Two, which would therefore mean no relegations.

Knock on effect should mean that at least two are promoted from Division Three as well which is good news for us you would think.

If I had a crack at ECE supporters, I'm sure it would come across as if I did. I merely moved behond the goals and chose to make my own noise with my own club mates, thought with the amount of ECE supporters I'd have bleeding ear drums, wasn't the case, alot quieter than I thought, especially when Uni went up by 14 early.

Good for you, you've learned the cut and paste function. Yes, I hate uni teams, all of them, as I'm sure most people do. It's healthy for footy.

Anyway, I'll let you get back to your day job, whatever that is.
