Thank goodness Sydney AFL plays extra time after a drawn grand final

Can you imagine what a bugger it would have been for Sydney Uni and East Coast Under 18s if they'd had to go to Blacktown this morning to play a replay?

As the CEO of the AFL of the league said it is unique for the game, personally agree with a replay, no doubt all have opinions on it, but with AFL GF in all history 3 times only ever, creates talk and well a great excuse for the season to last one more week. Two five min halves allow too much for a few wrong calls to even ruin a game.

Totally agree Purse. Everyone knew the rules, it's post match emotion (eg Nick Maxwell) and media hype that creates discussion.

Tad hard to get a reasonable flight from Perth to Melbourne though-checked Qantas and Virgin websites 5 mins after the siren and the cheapeest was $750 one way!! Ticket allocation will be interesting as I know the Eagles are only getting 150, which I suspect is the same for all non competing clubs.
