Penrith had their first training run on Saturday with a few new faces coming for a look in what was a decent roll up.

Some signed forms, others didn't.

Just hoping to have three fairly competitive sides this year that shouldn't be far away from a top five finish

We have been fortunate enough to keep Kenny which is a great coup for the club. Wasnt looking good at one stage so very happy

Lots of movement away from the Hyphens, must be a blow for the slimy ones as I know they would be feeling lonely down in div 2 and must have been looking to Div 1 for next season.

Poaching is for eggs when on a diet. What we have here is proactive recruitment whereby a direputable club spends a truck load of money in an attempt to buy a premiership whilst their juniors dwindle and the old bowlers die of nothing to do. Having said all that they might be pretty competitive this year

By looks of it balmain will have a pretty handy side this year to compete against the top...other teams would do the same thing if they had money to buy a premiership...

Certainly cant see any 30 goal floggings handed out to them. I had a little on them at $30 on Centrebet last year and the ticket was confetti after a few rounds. Will be single figure odds this year.

Some interesting moves indeed, with Sydney Uni bulking up. Notice 27 clearances to Riverview also in the 18's. 2 teams?

Certainly happy to see some of Penrith's former players return to the fold, they have really been inspiring to the younger guys so far in pre-season and the team should be fairly competive in Div 2.

Parramatta have lost a few so will be interesting to see if they get replacements that can keep their form in recent years alive.

Still early days though.
