Interesting article, apparently for next year but syd afl hasnt posted anything.

Initial article was shown some weeks ago, but gist is runs from Mar to August and will involve top teams from the VFL, WAFL and SANFL along with the premiers from the major competitions in New South Wales, the ACT, Queensland and Tasmania.

Is this actually going ahead or is it a pipedream of EC?

Would your read be like mine - i.e. the "major comps from NSW" would mean the ACTAFL + GWS thingo ? I can't see a Sydney AFL club getting an invite seeing as AFL strategies or lack therof keeps ensuring our comp doesn't rise to standards lofty enough to be involved...... - what tier do they consider Prem Div ? Maybe 3rd or 4th "tier".

You'd think O & M, Goulburn Valley would be considered first, but O & M has stated they don't wish to lose a club to the NEAFL, however the Champions League would be a good fit.
