I fell a bit behind there for a couple weeks, but I've now finalised the lists for the home and away season in all grades.
Following is the Top 22 if a team of the year was to be picked.
Do you agree? Who should be there that isn't? Who shouldn't be there that is? Where are you or your mates on the list? Who will will your club's best and fairest in each grade?

                    Ryan King-Thornburg (Southern Power) [b]43

I reckon you're spot-on with the club B and F mate. Still, Hamer has won it for 3 years in a row and in that time has finished runner-up in the league B and F medal, so don't be surprised if Hamer does will again in the league count.

                    DIVISION THREE

                    7. Trent Alexander (Southern Power) 45
                    10. Mark Allouche (Southern Power) 42

Alexander played a fair bit of Div 3 and Div 5 so may have taken out either if he focused on one or the other. Allouche was consistent, however the B and F could go to up to a dozen in this grade.

                    DIVISION FIVE

                    1. Daniel Stanton (Southern Power) 51
                    11. Scott Lowes (Southern Power) 36
                    14. Trent Alexander (Southern Power) 35
                    16. Anthony Graf (Southern Power) 34
                    22. Cheyne Anderson (Southern Power) 31
                    22. Dylan Andrews (Southern Power) 31

Stanton and Lowes probably won't have played enough games for the B and F. Graf would be the favourite. Libbis who kicked 50 goals for the season should get some votes too.

In Under 18s, Maddis Bishop is an omen for the B and F.

Think you're underselling Stanton a bit Offal, or just not wanting to put the mockers on him perhaps?

BeeEmmAre, re Dan Roth...he's having an exceptional year after an injury-stricken 2010.

I've coached him for five or six years and this is his best season yet in my book.

He played twos last season but got a serious leg injury and decided at his age, he'd rather play at a less frantic pace.

He is one of our two skippers and his courage definitely lifts the side.

I reckon you're on the money, with our votes at least...

Div 2 and 1 were a fair whack out (Surprised you didn't have Buttercup in your Div 1 top 20) but pretty close in the Prems (5th) Div 4 (2nd) Div 5 (5th) and spot on with Div 3 (1st).... Well done Jontgomery!

I don't know how other clubs do their weekly 1-6, but Penrith (D4) had one of the assistant coaches put in the top six every week. For our B & F, three judges give points on a 5-4-3-2-1. Judging by some the the weekly 1-6's that I saw, they may be somewhat different come Presentation Night.

It always amuses me that the most coveted individual awards are the likes of the Brownlow and Phelan, which are based on umpire votes ... especially seeing that it is unilaterally agreed by spectators, players and coaches alike, that umpires have no idea!

Surely a coaches award or a players award like the Players Association MVP and even a media award should be of more relevance and importance ... even the Sydney AFL Top 10 would seem more credible!

If umpires have enough time during a game to determine who the 3 best players are, then they are not concentrating on officiating the game! ... and that also assumes that they can identify a good player from a bad one.

I assume that at the higher levels, the umpires get some "help" with their votes, but below that level the anomalies are obvious, you only need look at some of the umpire votes v best 6's through the SFL lower grades and 18's ... in a lot of cases 5 and sometimes 6 of the votes go to players not mentioned in the 2 clubs' best 12!

I guess the savior is that over a full season, like their umpiring decisions, it all evens out and the cream rises ... sometimes.

Though they rarely get it right, it is interesting that the NRL dumped the old Rothmans Medal format (also based on referee votes) long ago, for the media's Dally M awards.

Anyway, congratulations to all award winners ... you earnt them, and they can never be taken away!

Certainly a couple of results that were well off what the top 10s stated, but as others have stated, it relies on the way clubs see their best players being similar to the way the umpires see them.
I would be very interested in seeing how the club best and fairests compare to the lists.
For interests sakes - here's how the Medals compared; make of it what you will.
