Ramsgate are outside of the SUS pathway so if they did that the AFL wouldnt be happy - perhaps they have offered that to those note put on named lists. Anyway Southern Power have formed an alliance with SUS providing a pathway to NEAFL so that wasnt really necessary.

How do the UAI points get distributed, are they on a voucher redeemable at the Universities Admission Centre?

Student... you may want to look into the elite sports UAI bonus points scheme. This is not something implemented by UAC but offered by the institution. What Sydney Uni can (and regularly) do is offer bonus points to anyone they like. If they offer 5 bonus points, they can accept any potential student who is within 5 points of the UAI cutoff.

In fact, any institution can accept anyone into any course... this is called a scholarship... they can even offer entry into an MBA course to players from rival NEAFL clubs...

But you knew that didn't you....

Call it an issue of semantics if you must, but that seems to be just a bit different to the continually repeated myth that that ENTER points are handed out wholesale for playing for Uni. There was a post on here by a poster called J_Moore who worked in university admissions who explained the difference between what people were posting and what the process was for sporting scholarships but it doesn't seem to have been read by very many.

Especially Student, who has denied it can happen in any way, shape or form.

But the non-uni fraternity are smarter than that

But good luck to them this season. Would like to see them perform OK, being a Sydney team in NEAFL. Heard they have scored a few nice recruits.

If I may quote him from a post he made on the issue of scholarships:
Last post on this from me - just to clear the scholarship thing up - SU Sport provide a limited number of scholarships for student athletes for each sport. About half a dozen are allotted to SUANFC - I don't know how many are afforded to rugby but it is probably about 10 times that number! They are worth anywhere between $1000 and $4000 and can be put toward HECS, textbooks etc. As for free UAI points, that is a complete untruth - however if a student athlete is near to a UAI cut-off point for course entry they will be considered e.g. if they get 85 and need 86. That is no different to what full fee paying students are entitled to, for example.
              Post here.

Assuming that even made sense it wouldn't change anything, but okay.
