Home ground?
Let me guess !
Whalan? Wrights Reserve? Maybe that ground at Blacktown Showground that the Bombers used a few years ago.Comment
-
Blacktown Showground has been torn up for a new development, Wrights could be a candidate. I take it Whalan is where Rooty Hill play?
However, you'd think they'd be gunning for BISP2?Comment
-
At $400 a game at BISP2 you would think that they would be up for some pretty serious rego fees.
Maybe Tom and Israel will have some spare change in their Skoda's ashtray to help cover the cost.Comment
-
Perhaps a discount on ground fees because it's one of the AFL NSW/ACT boys?
Given the AFL's involvement in setting up the Magic and previously the Power, Whalan would have to be the early favourite.Comment

Guess this means the twos coach will have to step up........Disappointing yes, as he's set us up well and had a year to run, however, when opportunity knocks you have to answer. He's kept me in the loop about it, and has the chance to further his coaching to a higher level at Balmain, so he leaves with our full blessing. As a Hawkesbury local he'll still be involved with us, albeit in a much reduced capacity, which is greatly appreciated.
With the distance involved, I can't see any of our cattle keen to travel that far, but one of our young guns will more than likely follow him for the same reasons, and every club member sees the logic in that, you have to give your talented players every opportunity to test themselves, and he won't get that in D2 or D1.Comment

They'd want to be fit to play on Whalan, it's a massive ground.
Up there with Monarch and Kelso as the biggest Aust Football ground in Sydney I would imagine.Comment

I can remember playing at Whalan when I was about 4 or 5, running around in the 9s, the old man telling me I couldn't wear my Joe Cool Snoopy shirt underneath my guernsey, emu bobs for needles, endless wings.......
If they can negotiate Joe McAleer Oval in Glendenning, that'd be great, bit small but certainly boutique.Comment
