    Pekay's Jets comeback - and it's his 100th game

It's a big day for the Nor-West Jets this week, with Peter 'Pekay' Kyle to play his 100th match for the club on Saturday.
I'm sure everyone will join with me in congratulating him on an achievement that looked like it would never occur on that fateful second semi final day in 2009. Two years is a long time to wait, and everyone is champing at the bit to see Pekay finally run out again.

It is also the return of our under 18s team for the first time since 2004, a sure sign that the club is on the right track. Best of luck to all the boys as they build a future for the Jets.
"It's up to the rest of the players in the room to make a new batch of premiership players next year," Adam Goodes, triple Bob Skilton Medallist, October 7, 2011.

A more passionate Sydney AFL guy you would find it near impossible to find. Just a pity he follows a dud side in AFL.

Welcome back Pekay, been a long haul from that fateful day at Henson. All the best on your return. Hopefully, your milestone day will be in the ones's, where you will be a chance of a victorious return (No offence Tara).

Good luck to the 18's on their debut. Should be a good game !

All the best pekay - I don't think I'll be able to make it unfortunately, but I will try to get out to a couple of games this year.

PS: SHH, it was at BPR. Nasty bit of work, that collision.

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

Yep, I stand corrected. I must have seen him at Henson a week or so later all cast up and looking for a bit of sympathy

It's a damn shame UTS weren't so sympathetic that day (Well, during the game at least!)

I don't know you from a bar of soap PK but have shared these boards with you for many years now. Great to see you back on the ground following your injury and hope you run around like a kid in their first game.

Congratulations Pekay - you'll be fine. Hopefully you can sneak a goal or two and a victory in your comeback.

Good luck, Pekay. Hope the Jets can pull one out of the bag and celebrate your 100th in style.

Don't forget, make sure to manage expectations- tell any kids in your team on the day that you're a bit out of game shape and they need to make an extra effort to run to contests on your behalf.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

                            PK, Only 100??

Is that only with the Jets/Saints or does it include your stints with the Goannas and the Bombers?

Well Done on coming back after your injury, regardless.

                            Cheers
