Really? Struck me as a hare-brained idea aimed at the PC crew. Would love to see some of the journos who blew smoke up their bums when the club started write a postscript as to why it failed. Reason: the same reason noone wants them in their clubs around Sydney.

So they go and start their own club.

There must be something going on there, but I don't know what. But to go from fielding two teams last year to being unable to field one is an alarming drop. All clubs can go through periods of struggling for numbers to fill all of their teams at this time of year, but a drop like that is extraordinary.

Interesting to note too that said bloke (with two citings for striking, and one for abusing an umpire) was named as their best for that week. Certainly not the messaging of a club that is trying to turn itself around.

Perhaps they could all get together with the Noaks & one P. Betros. Throw in a mental giant like Matheson & you've got it all in a nice little package....(little, referring to the mental capacity) ! ! They'd be lucky to total 99 on the IQ scale between the lot of them ! ! Did Betros get a telegram from the Queen in her Diamond Anniversary ? I'm sure she'd remember THAT appeal, or does the whole Windsor family still laugh about it around the dinner table ?
NO game has any room for thugs, play footy boys, hard at it is fine, letting your opponent know you mean business is fine, but stick to the job & you might actually win a few games that way & keep your club going a little longer.
