Almost tempted to change tips on Balmain/East Coast game when I saw the Shegurls squad. Then I realised that there is a bye in NEAFL.
New Sydney AFL rule is that only 2 players can drop down if their firsts side is having the bye. Looks like no such NEAFL rule.

I was about to blow up about the same thing but a quick check reveals that only D. Steer and S. Doyle played in last weeks NEAFL game - and both of these guys have played plenty of premier division footy this year.

It seems they are playing (just) inside the rules. It could have been worse, although I would have paid to see Luff line up on Houlihan.
