Who goes up, who goes down?

Promotion & relegation between divisions. How do we see next year shaping up?

For Premier Division, I doubt there'll be any change. It would be a big policy change to drop anyone down or admit a new team; and by the time the divisions are nominated, the new manager won't really have had time to make any judgement on that.
Manly may have a case to go up, but I doubt it's going to happen. In the longer term, it may be more desirable to cut teams rather than admitting any more. But to get to an even number, and eliminate the bye, would be a good thing.

Div 1-2 - St George up, Wests down. That's fairly clear-cut on this year's results.
Div 2-3 - A lot depends whether Auburn are able to get the club back up and running after this year's disastrous season. If they're back, they'll presumably drop down to Div 3. UTS would go up to Div 2.
Div 3-4 - On this year's results, Penrith up, Moorebank down. But if Auburn aren't in the picture, Moorebank may get a reprieve or alternatively Gosford could also go up.
Div 4-5 - Depends how many teams the clubs nominate. Sydney Uni didn't have a Div 4 team this year, so they could go up. But whether Mac Uni go down would depend on their numbers - I doubt they'd have two Mac Uni teams in Div 5 again.
Under 18s 1-2 - Again, a lot would depend on which teams nominate. Southern Power would likely go up, Penrith down. If Campbelltown field a U18s team, I can't see them going into Div 1.

There was a proposal early in the year at a planning meeting that it should be changed to minor premiers being promoted and nt premiers. It does make some sense, but probably open to a bit of abuse too. In the ened, no firm decision was made. The By-Laws still state it's the premiers.

My rumours heard this year include Manly being told they can be promoted to PD in 2014, though they were pushing for 2013. They deserve to be there, would probaly almost nudge finals in PD after what I saw of them this year.
St George to go to D1, Wests down. Makes sense. If it was dependant on minor premiership, Sydney Uni would go up, but they seem happy in Div 2 after asking not to be in Div 1 this year.
D3 premiers, UTS going up to D2? I guess so. Wonder if they will add another team and have a side in each of the six divisions. Still seem to have the numbers.
I heard on a Gosford social media site that they have been told they are going to D3 next year. Would seem to be good oil. That makes it interesting. Penrith were premiers. They asked to be promoted after being minor premiers/grand finalists last year and were not. This year they finished a win behind Gosford and UTS but won the flag. Be a tragedy if they weren't promoted.
Who knows, maybe D2, 3,4,5 will have a team added in all and the whole comp will be 11 teams per division.

In 18's there was discussion around 3 divisions for next year. Some talk of a combined Western Sydney Under 18's Div 1 side as well, given the only Div 1 club in the west this year, Penrith, are likely to be relegated.
