The gap between the top and bottom teams was enormous last year. Unless there's a wholesale exodus of players from any of the top clubs, I can't see any of the clubs that missed the finals being contenders in 2013.

Who have they lost, Chatto ?
I think that Tassie the assistant coach might have gone, Gus surely must have retired now, how about Tangatalum and the other QLD/NT guys ? Is Yakomov out ?

            tiwi boys have gone.
            tassie hasnt ruled himself out.
gus i would dare say retired.
main losses are tiwi guys and matty edwins, however I think draga and amon buchanon, trent stubbs and eugene kruger will fit these holes well. there would also dare say some other recruits prior and some up and coming 18's to filter into the senior system

Easts for three in a row like Eagles did under Garner 12, 13 and 14. Campbelltown wooden spoon. Manly scrap into finals. Do we know if Manly have recruited or are they just running with their solid Div One side?? Wollongong to make finals in 5th spot.

              Premier Division = EASTS
              Division One = Southern Power
              Division Two = Camden
              Division Three = Blacktown
              Division Four = Penrith
              Division Five = Camden

Taking bets if anyone is interested?

                  No bets sorry.
But, tell ya what, from what I saw of Manly in the finals, they'd need a big inflow of recruits to be competitive in PD this year. And a solid pre-season in the gym for most of last year's team.
I reckon they'd have finished no better than 7th or 8th in PD last year.
I liked the style of the coach but he can't do it without the cattle.

I will give you $1000 to $3 about Penrith winning Div 4.

                    More if you like.

I've been away for a while but now that you have mentioned Garns, does anyone know what he's been up to? Is he coaching somewhere? If so has any Syd Prem Div club been chatting to him? I would assume though other than Campbelltown no other Prem Div club would sign/announce their coach this late into pre season. Just interested as I think he had/has a lot to offer a club wanting to push further up the divisional ladder.

Thanks Chatovadaflloor for the update on Garns. From memory his old clubs region is around Omeo I think.

I reckon the Eagles can push top three along with PH and one of the Unis. Given SHE have dealt with the first year of NEAFL, the club and players will settle down and get on with producing winning sides again. The juniors they have coming through their very pool area are another year older, bigger and should be smarter. The old heads will steady the PD side and the new NEAFL recruits will ensure the PD side remains strong. I say disrespect them at your peril.
