    Macquarie University

Last weekend our Division One side traveled out to Mac Uni for our round 17 clash. As we arrived at the ground, we discovered a massive breakdown in communication with our footballs, medical bag and water bottles left in our change rooms on Thursday night (thankfully our jumpers were not left behind).

Macquarie University's coach and president were absolutely brilliant in helping us out. They supplied a few footies, some tape and a dozen bottles. They really looked after us and we want to publicly thank the club for their support. Great sign of sportsmanship!

On another note, was great to see RWO's very own Pekay kicking goals on our arrival, with very vocal celebrations! A lot of support for Nor West too - great to see!
In every game there is going to be a cross-road, and when you get to that cross-road you either step up, or you step down!

Thanks mate! Was told in early May that I couldn't play again due to an arthritic neck and bulging disc/nerve issues, had an appointment with Dr Brian Owler (Neurosurgeon of RTA commercial fame) last week who cleared me to continue at a low impact level, so was my first game back and a relief to know I don't need any operations! Was happy to get my hands on the pill. Body still aching today though, perhaps a sign methinks..

Should also take the opportunity to thank Mac Uni for their help as well.

Our club umpire suffered a heart attack on Friday morning so we didn't have anyone to officiate, sent an email to Matt Chaplin asking for some help and he was only too happy to assist and supplied a clubby either side of half time, so we could get the game underway.

    Good on you, Warriors!

And at least the 'communication breakdown' didn't affect your blokes performance, geez you turned it on in the first quarter!

Thanks for the kind words fellas, games don't go ahead without this sort of stuff so for us helping out where we can is automatic. Too bad karma didn't go our way with the results on the day, maybe next year!
