Manly is not the sfa team you think it is they recruit players yearly .... But of course your the expert you have been here for years
Muppet, your post is just dumb dumb dumb

Manly won the last two flags with essentially the team that won the SFA in 2012

Just saying that would never have happened in the past because there was a huge difference. My personal view (and I have been watching footy in Sydney for over 30 years you silly boy) is that it is more a case of the second div, SFA or whatever you call it getting stronger without the SFL doing the same.

Said it before and ill say it again, you are the expert mate, 30 years must go along way so i do appologise mug. I am a silly boy for questioning you, you are a complete expert. FYI, SFA was gone in 2008 on the records i think so maybe your wording is wrong?

Manly had 3 players move on to the vfl? unsw have had two move to the sanfl, another (rampe) happened to play in the afl grand final last year?
st george have a player just gone to wafl? the wafl state captain is playing this year? east coast have retained their whole team from a neafl competition?

In my opinion (silly boy/muppet) their is no SFA/SFL anymore and no clubs should be referred to as them, so comparing clubs as that, went out with the divisionalised structure in 2008. I think the sydney afl (as a whole) is as strong as it has ever been because their are good players spread across all grades (more people playing than ever) and comparing generations is just silly.

Even though I hate Manly, was quite satisfying to see them win the SFL, albeit a diluted comp.
