After reading through the "lets tear East Coast up" thread it maybe time for a giggle.
My first thought was which of the 1000 silly things over 30 odd years should I lead off with, but to keep it relevant a well known poster here actually got on the park last year for his 1 or 2 games last season sneaked up forward got the ball 1 metre out no one within miles of him had an airy and dribbled it through for a point.
Now keep them coming got to be better than ripping into other clubs with NFI but innuendo.

I'm reminded of a goal umpire who may refer to himself in the third person, standing at the very muddy hospital end at Gore Hill Oval. Standing under one goalpost to watch a shot at goal go through, he moved over to the opposite goalpost to get the flags, but lost his footing in the quagmire and ended up as muddy as the players.

I'm sure everyone who's played has had occasions after a game when they've wanted to have a shower and leave quickly. But a couple of years ago at Gore Hill, a player from a visiting team took that to extremes when he did a nudie run across the oval during the first quarter of the next game before jumping into a getaway car in the hospital car park.

There was the Army guy that played for us one day at Bensons, we were getting thumped as usual, he throws a punch and gets sent to the time keepers area upstairs.
First half still.
Grabs himself a few cans and gets a bit sauced, absconded to the clubhouse and locks the door with mic in hand hooked up to the PA and takes turns abusing both teams playing, as well as the soccer game further down the road.

Passed out eventually but not before helping himself to the unattended fridge.

Apparently he'd been out in field training in the tropics for a month and returned the day before.

No it wasn't me.

Then there's a current minister in the NSW government who thought it would be a good idea to hide behind a goal post when the opposition called for a head count. Not surprisingly it didn't work and he was busted.

Let's hope it's not a metaphor for his political career......

Thank god for that, you blokes were pantsing us that day!

I'd already been mistakenly reported for charging (yeah I got off) and the bench is screaming for me to call a head count as 1 went off and 2 went on. I spoke to Petros, who informed me that I can be further reported if the head count comes back clear.

We all line up. 18 on 18.

They do a recount. 18 on 18. Not looking good.

Then someone is screaming as said Minister is hiding behind a white goal post in black uniform!

And you lot almost ran us down after your scores were wiped. A fun day. Our only win for the season.

On a fine sunny afternoon at UNSW 3 grade at the time I think, we were getting a usual touch up which is what happens when you 12 regulars drink together the evening before the game and the 6 ring ins are introduced on game day to each other. I had a shot for goal on the run from about 40 (I can't kick much more than 45 so the years haven't embellished the story) and missed by at least 2 meters but seeing as the goal umpire was a little out of position I celebrated like I kicked it and confused him enough to award the goal much to the anger of his UNSW team mates..... When I missed a set shot by a similar margin a few minutes later one friendly supporter from the hill noticed that my kick aimed straight at the McDonalds sign over the back and was nice enough to tell me about it..... (along with several team mates).....

Keep them coming, see footy can be a bit humourous at times, isn't that what the lower divs are all about fun and giggles.

It's probably more for young blokes that don't want to play in a semi professional environment (as semi professional as PD can be I guess) and enjoy training one or two nights a week. Life doesn't revolve around football.
