Harry was a legend, loved his footy and never missed a game. Older son Nick was on the Swans rookie list for a couple of years in early 2000's. Jackson was always going to be a footballer - he played about 400 games as a junior and was never away from a locker room for long. He should be a TV journalist on breeding - by Harry Potter x Katrina Lee - his mum was one of the pioneers of female new reading. Hope he has a great season.

I grew up playing juniors against their eldest Tim, Harry would run one boundary and my dad the other. He was a terrific person, no airs or graces which was refreshing, considering he was a rare TV personality to us. A true gentleman.

He was a truly great man, revered by victims and the police alike.

Victims of crimes in the 80s say that back before the existence of Victim Support Groups they had Harry Potter. His first question upon entering a crime scene was to ask the victims or their families if they were OK. He used to ring the families of victims on the anniversary of their loved ones deaths to check in and offer support.

There was a reason he had over 1,000 mourners at his funeral.

        R.I.P.

Tom Steinfort, the Alex Rance pretty boy from UTS. I saw him play twice and he went ok.
Now he finds himself in Lebanon as the front man in the case of the Channel Nine reporters detained in Beirut over the alleged abduction and recovery of two children.

For a decent footballer he just looks like a twat.

He is a really fun and entertaining guy. He would be loved in any club that he was involved in. He is a larrikin and a laugh a minute guy who is loved in the Bats community.

Troy Luff made into the Sunday Telegraph today for playing 500 AFL games. And still going strong it seems.
The article says he has played in 10 losing grand finals but never won one, and now he has given up the dream.
                    Shame.
But congratulations to you Troy Luff if you read this forum.

TROY COLE - an evergreen who played for Balmain and Wests many years ago and always seemed to be able to attract attention to himself.
I logged on to the Sydney AFL website tonight and see that he has kicked 17 goals yesterday for a team down on the South Coast.
Last time I saw him play a match, his knee was bandaged like Michelin Man's - and I wonder how he has managed to play on for so long, and whether he still gets the crowd in like he used to.

Pekay - you've got a lot in common with him.....ageing, dicky knee, crowd pleaser, plays on and on forever...what's the secret ?

He's kicked 40 in the last three weeks for Ulladulla - 60-odd for the season. Still pretty handy in front of the big sticks obviously. I loved watching him play Div 2 for us a few years back, he was a pretty keen competitor to put it mildly!

Here, here. We were all getting along so nicely, being civil, polite, mostly positive.........and then, along came MEAT HEAD again.
I was hoping that if we ignored the troll then he would go away, like last time.
But his cage has been rattled....just watch what for his next piece of bile.
