Under Garry B, I recall one time getting a rather angry call at 9 PM on Saturday night telling me I hadn't entered the results for one of the home games. I had actually done it, but my internet hadn't picked it up.

Many days racing home to get the results in by 6PM (Got you some club points). If not in by 7 PM, you were fined. The results on website were always updated at 6:01 PM and again at 7:01 PM.

Page hits have probably escalated recently, having to continually click to see the results.

I might be imagining things, but always think that results go in a lot quicker from the home club after a win rather than a loss

Colesy your mob's results are always late!

You can see how much detail Garry put into his job, the BDAFL site is always good for a read since he's been up there. Does Sydney footy even have a record any more?

Not that I am aware. It was pretty bland in recent years, so they probably used the resultant lack of interest as the reason for canning it. Almost like a self-fulfilling prophecy.

If you make it interesting, with varied content, people will read it. And I think we should still have a record for what it's worth.

Here is an issue from 96 when KT was editing it.

        Interesting, with plenty of info.

The other thing that is noticeable to me is how much advertizing they were able to sell (maybe not all of it directly sold, as some could have been league sponsors).

The league sends the numbers and a blank page to the home clubs each week, if they want to embellish & print it out, it's up to them. Hardly any clubs do.

Tales have it during the manly vs north shore game, a bunch of supporters from manly decided to remove an individuals water bottle from behind the goals and pee inside of it then replace it. Disgusting behaviour to have in a real life situation let alone in a football match, is this an all time low we have seen from supporters?

The player had noticed his bottle being tampered with and asked a waterboy to check it out for him. Said waterboy checked and apparently it was indeed yellow inside.

I don't think this comes as a surprise as the previous bad blood of the two clubs has lead to some stories over the years, just another chapter, fortunately for manly they beat them on the field too.
