Great season for the West Sydney Magpies u/19 Div 2 side, who get a crack at a flag this Sunday, thanks to to a lot of behind the scenes hard work by the usual suspects at Wests and Moorebank. Exciting to see a number of former Bankstown Bombers* in the side too.

Good luck guys! (if it didn't clash with Mass, I'd be there for sure!).

    * It's actually been a pretty good year for a former stand alone junior club that the AFL was happy to burn - former Bankstown boys have featured in the finals this year in Prem Div, Div1, 2 and 3 and U'19's Div 1 and 2.

Mate thanks for the kind words. Just getting a team on the paddock at the start was an achievement in itself and 2 wins after 7 rounds didnt help but the boys always stayed positive. Fast forward 10 weeks and its 9 from 10 and we have more than enough commited players for a at least one team next season so the hard work was worth it.

Must be something about bankstown even if this old bomber is retiring after sunday

Well done boys! Fantastic result for all concerned!

... have you worked out how you will share the flag between Picken and Rosedale? ... bugger it, just get the AFl to present two!
