As I said before - The clubs are the one's who should lift the standard
Is that not lifting the standard? Probably dont see dress pants and "shoes" often out that way.

Don't know how you keep doing it, but you manage to make yourself sound like a bigger tosser by the day. Commenting on the perceived poor quality of the lower grades when you'd be lucky to be emergency if you weren't Div 4 coach. And now socioeconomic comments.

You do occasionally come out with some funny gear though, I'll give you that.
Maybe you have a mental illness. Like a cool, reasonably functionable one

I see another Manly junior has racked up a huge game. Last week it was 18 year old jarrod Osborne with 41 disposals. This week it was 17 year old Sam wicks with 41 disposals, 8 clearances, 8 tackles, 7 marks and 2 goals, playing for manly prems against western suburbs.

The thing is SYDNEY Footy needs to lift the standard and that starts with the clubs themselves. PREMS CLUBS - As they are the benchmark for Sydney AFL ON and OFF the field.
So if it means a water runner needs to dress as to the rules so he should. What the AFL has to start doing is big fines. So you get it right.
I am not involved with any club but go to games on weekends to watch footy. My old club Newtown has long gone.
Your club St George needs to look in the mirror because they need a big catch-up in how to present themselves.

Far be it for me to stick up for Saints but it is hard enough to get players to wear the right shorts let alone have all water runners attired correctly. I don't know what it was like back in the day but running a football club in 2017 is akin to herding cats.

There's probably a scholarship for that degree too if you're a decent player.

Don't start me on SU. I wouldn't like to have you working for me if you don't get the basic right.
Maybe the players could do a degree on how to pack their footy bag.
What about the Team Manager having Runners kits each week and also extra shorts and socks - Now that was not hard was it!

                          Team Managers? What are they?

Don't worry, I wouldn't want to work for you either.

I get the sentiment, but i dont think ive seen a water runner all year in div 4 and even in seniors there is only 1 or 2 from every club.

Probably because you are no longer affiliated with a club, but you dont get how hard it is to organise volunteers in the current climate. Im talking about all sports/organisations im affiliated with.

When the governing body cant even get a finals draw correct before sending it out I doubt they are going to start handing out fines for incorrect uniform.

I think the sydney uni scholarships are awesome and I support manly wolves! That arrangement is attracting good interstate talent to Sydney for the NEAFL and providing one of the few elite paths for Sydney kids. If Sydney Uni are strong in Prems as a spin off from their elite sports program I think that is a small cost.

That was my point in another post - Why St George don't attract supporters.
I was at the St George V ECE on Sunday and ECE had no trouble with having Runners, Physio's, Umpire Escorts and plenty of help at the BBQ. * all in correct attire.
Even had a lady volunteer cleaning the mess you made in the toilet
ECE has a big following - family, friends and plenty from there junior clubs. always a good day at their ground but a long drive home.

So my point is if you have good support you have volunteers - Professional clubs make a more attractive competition. Not the rubbish I as a football fan has to watch each week.
