Why isn't the Premier Division the last game of the season?

To my knowledge a decision was made that all Prem Div games must be played on Saturday. I guess no difference for the grand final.....but earlier finals were played on a Sunday....so yeah I dunno.

Most of the prems games are scheduled for a sunday for finals I believe due to the NEAFL having priority on the grounds on Saturday. It is easier for Lower divisions to be moved to a ground like kanebridge on a Saturday in the case of a NEAFL side needing Blacktown/Henson.

Basically trying to mitigate the risk of drama in scheduling the premier division games which naturally are a priority.

Well done Luffy, finally breaking the premiership drought. Never in doubt.

It's been a long time coming, but Luffy finally gets his premiership medal. Good on him - he's stuck around in Sydney footy for 20 years after his AFL career ended, and has made an enormous contribution.
