It was one bloke who went over the top and was told to move on. Maybe you’d have preferred it if we streamed the game and had a couple of ‘commentators’ abuse the players for two hours.

Anyway, it was a sour note to end what was another classic final. We have been spoiled this season - hopefully next Saturday is just as good. Judging by the game two weeks ago it will be another cliffhanger.

To their players on the field, congratulations on a well deserved win.

There's not as much wrong there as you might think.
Our prems side has improved every year since 2016 and we're a lot better now than we were back then, but the top of the competition has improved every year too.
Our depth has also improved every year and will improve again next year, but the reality is that we don't have the same depth yet as SU or UNSW.
We haven't had the funds to buy in top end players to help our group develop and we haven't had a NEAFL program to help us either. In fact the NEAFL program has cost us a couple of very good players.
Across finals we lost Manteit, Wilson, Parks and Smith and didn't have Rory Barkley, Jack Campbell or Drum for various reasons. They're not average prems players and while all sides lose players towards the end of the season, compared to SU and UNSW we haven't built enough depth yet to cover for the loss of that many top players.
It's that simple and it's why this happens in finals against the top teams.
The boys who played on the weekend had a crack, but got beaten by a better side on the day. That's how it goes and congratulations to next weeks grand finalists.
To the people at the AFL who think we're trying to build a super club and to the abusive peanut gallery from Sydney Uni, we're just trying to build our club the best way we can without some the of the advantages that other clubs have enjoyed (as are Penno, ECE, St George, etc etc). It's very difficult to do and takes a long time, but we are getting there and the win will be very sweet when it does come.
In the meantime, we've to 2 gf's this weekend against 2 very good UNSW teams. So definitely no guarantees there, but as the boys did yesterday, I'm sure those sides will have a crack.

Decided to bring up one moment, but the constant use of the C word to players on the field and taunting a Bombers player who played in the Div1 grand final who wasn't even there show a larger picture about the Uni mob more than just the one bloke carrying on after the game I previously alluded to.

Again a great game to watch, that fourth quarter was a classic.

It was one bloke at the end, but there were about 20 blokes wearing premiership medals abusing players all day and they went way past the behaviour you're referring too - as others did the week before.

To be honest it doesn't really bother me. I'm not as thin skinned about it as some people, but I do find people being sanctimonious a bit tedious.

As you say Student, it should be a great game next weekend.

Perhaps not onfield Bomber but something seems to have gone wrong in your PR Department - last week it took 6 days for your team sheet with better players and goal kickers to get uploaded to the League website, here we are on Tuesday and the new teamsheet with better players still hasn't been uploaded. Sydney Uni seems to have been able to manage it.

Just checked and they are in there. Also, during finals clubs don't load this info. The AFL does.

It's a bit of a mystery that the goals have been uploaded to FootyWeb but not the bests - they're recorded on the same team sheet.

Edit - Had it been up to North Shore's PR Department, goals and bests for both teams in every game would have been entered in FootyWeb within 10 minutes of the final siren in the last game; as happened in every game day at Gore Hill this season.

Dunno, must be some hallucinogen in the Astroturf at Gore Hill. I'll have to go down there to the "Holy Ground" and do some deep breathing...the world seems different to you.

Jake Bartholomaeus from Sydney Uni won the Phelan with 16 votes. Errol Gulden & Sam Thorne from UNSW-ES were second and third.
Claudia Gunjaca from UTS won the Mostyn with 16 votes. Lael Kassem from Inner West was second. A three-way tie for third between Erin McKinnon from Manly and Kate Reynolds & Nicola Barr from North Shore.

I would love to know how the umpires deliberate on the voting.

Southern Power finished third on the ladder, above Bombers, UTS, Inner West, Syd Uni and Mac Uni. Yet not one player in the top 10 of the votes.

At least half of the top 10 are ‘high profile GWS players’.

                            Go figure.

                              MISSING Details from Norths/East game.
The reason I was told is that the Norths Team Manager handed the Team Sheet to the canteen ????
