What do you think can you play prems, play three players down in reserves under different names and be caught out… then get a it’s ok don’t do it again?

I would think a serious breach and no result for that team?

What was the intention for having the players, play down? Was it to win a game, or have enough to field a team. 5-year you obviously know the background. This could either be a club cheating or a club doing what it can to avoid a forfeit. Two very different intentions.

Seems a bit strange. When reserves are on after seniors, you're allowed to have 2 players backing up; and no need to use different names - and would have counted as a game to make them eligible for reserves finals.
Both clubs fielded a third grade team, they could have picked someone from that team to play reserves.

3 players playing down wouldn’t cause a forfeit if they didn’t play.

Rules are that you can’t play down. Pretty black and white

Think some commonsense has prevailed on it. If it didn’t makes a mockery of having a rule and every club can exploit
