    Trials & Tribulations

So have any of the RWO'ers Clubs got trials lined up?

Cardiff are playing Pennant Hills in an Under 18 then a 6 Quarter on the 5th of March, then taking on Sutherland Sharks on the 12th of March in Seniors & a combined 18's/Ressies.

should be 2 good hit outs

Should be a good hit out against the Demons provided there's not a repeat of last years Noah's Ark like flood. Have Cardiff still got all the usual suspects running around? Flynny, Simmo, Ryno etc?

Actually a noah's arc style flood would go down well at present- the ground is BLOODY hard ATM.

All the Usuals will be there as far as i know, plus a few new ones.

Hopefully the flood won't happen on the day though, last years game called for flippers and a snorkel!

NS, noticed that Brad Percy has applied to go to the Bombers. Isn't he an Army lad with Ryno ??

Yea Killarney Vale are trying to buy a premiership. They're throwing money at players from all clubs in the league.

Cardiff don't pay any of our players and Brad being the greedy pig he is, took off to Killarney Vale.

Good riddance I say. Killarney Vale obviously did their homework. The guy never trained, shirked it when the chips were down, generally turned up 5 minutes before the game (half pissed from the night before) & punced round the club like he owned the joint.

I'll put money down that if Killarney aren't winning he'll go AWOL

But at least our guys will have some motivation to play them

Penrith are playing Killarney Vale up there in a practise match on 5 March, followed by Gosford on the 12th. Then we're off to Yass for their lightning tournament on the 19th. Hopefully there'll be some good games amongst that lot.

Another one I heard about was East Coast v Pennant Hills in a couple/few weeks. hopefully all the new recruits from the Eagles are playing - will be interesting to see how they go. Was speaking to an Eagle last week who said that the new recruits showed the rest of the squad up - especially in the fitness stakes - when they first arrived. Just a matter of whether they can get some depth around those blokes. Could be tough with the 18's allegedly getting pretty upset with the senior club as they're basically being seen as a seperate club this year. Will be interesting to see how it unfolds...

I see East Coast have picked up what looks to be another handy footballer, some bloke from Wangaratta Rovers. They have certainly done well.

You may wish to check your sources re east coast eagles football club .A question to Rod was your child not good enough to make this side or do you just like potting other clubs other than your own.. Are you from a club that cannot field an u18 side?

Where did that come from Commish? Bit touchy mate? As I stated I got the information from an Eagles player so perhaps you should take a deep breath and have a coke and a smile. I wasn't potting the Eagles at all - I happen to quite enjoy the company of a number of Eagles players and officials and going by the flood of new signings this year I'm very optimistic about their chances. What I mentioned about the 18's came straight from one of the affected players mouths so I don't see what else I could do to check my facts. And being such a nazi on checking facts why don't you practice what you preach? Where did you come up with your well researched stat that I had a child? You know what they say about assumptions...
I wasn't having a shot at anyone, I was using this forum for what it's here for - to open up discussion on things that are happening in NSW/ACT footy. I think you need to act like Frankie Goes to Hollywood and relax.
