how many of the Prem Division Clubs would have a majority of their local Juniors playing senior footy?

Our Senior premiership side from last year boasted
12 who had played junior footy (under 18's and below for us)
5 who had never played before or only played at school (one of these was in his first season of footy and played the entire season in 1sts)
5 who came from out of the area (4 of those army players)

how would this stack up against other clubs??

Thats pretty impressive.
From reports, a lot have left St George this year. Are they playing elsewhere or have they Retired?

St George have had a great local junior base for years. I hear that there are 40-50 juniors who try out for the U18s St George squad each year and those who miss out dont surface elsewhere. Is this true? Are they actively encouraged to play for a team in First Divisions 18s or with another Premier league club? I would think teams such as UNSW-Easts and Wests would appreciate more numbers in the 18s.

Coastal Boy i can tell you that it was one of the great myths of Sydney football.

Usually there is around 35 who come up but that usually includes Rams guys who we believe should play senior footy if there not at the Rams. After injuries, players in seniors etc its usually a squad of 22.

The club actively encourages guys who miss out on a game with the club to play with Sutherland.
