    Wollongong

What happened down there at North Dolton Oval. What happened to ECE, was it the long travel? From what i have seen this year, i think the 3 sides to beat are Penno, Wests and ECE.

Anyone that was at the game please give report on game!

Wests are looking great ontop of ladder. Huge win on the weekend.

I watched the game & was very impressed with the standard of footy compared to a few other matches I have seen this year.

No wind to worry about that North Dalton is famous for.

I haven't seen ECE for quite a few years but I think ECE were the unfortunate team to be "surprised" by the quality of the Lions personnel. Their disappointment after the game was obvious to all. They will bounce back from the defeat & still be a force to reckon with - I expect that they will be pretty keen to train hard on the track this week.

Free flowing game (Frank & Anton showed their experience & didn't need to use the whistle much - perhaps they may have got one or two wrong but that's footy) and at times I thought it was a better standard at a crowd spectacle level than what the Swans have been dishing out in 2005.

Lions coach Leigh Forsyth is the ideal man to nurture a few of the lions younger players. Give them a few years & they will be potential finallists.

Free admission to the ground - so if your team is playing down south then I recommend that you get as many family & friends along & watch the game at a nice ground.

Suggest other clubs organise a team bus like we used to do with the goannas - great for team bonding on the return leg (especially if the ressies have had a few relaxing ales throughout the day)

I was very impressed with ECE corporate image ... their club looked very very professional. Well done to their marketing team for "lifting the standards" from other clubs gone past.

Picket fence went up in off-season. Ground looked ok - I have seen alot worse around Sydney. Didn't go out to the middle so unsure of the surface hardness.

One of my goals has been to compete in (and finish) the SMH Sydney Half Marathon on May 22 so not playing with anyone at this stage as I train for that.
