Penno will get slaughtered if they play the same way against Wests as they did agains the Gong... very average game of footy
    - Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in a world they've been given, than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact, it's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration, it's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing!

I dont think Penno shall have the man power to go with Wests. Will spencer be back for this big clash!

I went to Alan Davidson on Sunday and caught the first quarter of ECE Vs Norths. That looked to be an average game of footy too. The wind was present but no excuse for a lacklustre encounter.

Bulldogs vs Campbelltown was also a fairly ordinary game - from both sides. Let's hope for some better games this weekend. Hopefully Dogs vs Eagles will be a cracker! Not too sure on the closeness of the top of the table clash, however. Wests by a lot...

Should be some great games this week especially the top of the ladder with Wests VS Penno, and the bottom of the ladder clash Balmain VS Campbeltown.

Ordinary in comparison to what? Surely not the Swans v Saints game on Saturday night, now that was ordinary.
From what I saw of Penno v the Gong it was a reasonable standard and Penno seemed to only play as well as they were allowed. Wollongong are no pushovers and are being fuelled by a fair amount of confidence at the moment. I would think their only concern would be how they would go if they had some injuries to a couple of key players, their depth doesn't seem great looking at the reserve grade results.
ECE v NS was a little scrappy early and the Bombers did themselves no favours in the first quarter with inaccurate kicking while running with the advantage of the wind but it was obvious to me that both sides new this was a crucial game and they played accordingly. The fact that ECE were able to come away with the win having been forced to make at least 5 changes from the team that was pumped by WS due to injury and unavailability shows that the form of their Reserves can be translated into improved depth. The guys that came in seemed to add a little bit of spark and entusiasm.

I have been to 4 swans games this year and i can honestly say i would rather go and watch an SFL game. At least SFL teams dont try and play shutdown after getting 1 point up in the 3rd minute.

I assume then Shearer that this is not a coaching philosophy you will be adopting in the future.
It seems that every week sees Paul Roos mutate just that little bit more into Rodney Eade. What happened to the attacking football that saw Adam Goodes win a Brownlow. But I digress.
The standard in Sydney is on the up and up although some of the results have been a bit one sided especially on the so called fox footy channel match of the week, however last weeks results were a lot closer across the board and this weekends games should be the same if you look at some of the games and ladder positions. Lets hope so.
Match of the round between two undefeated teams in first grade, could the other great game be between the other two undefeated teams UNSW/ES v ECE in Reserves. Get to the Village Green early on Saturday and see two very good Reserves teams go at it.

I thought it was one of the best games I've seen this year.
Certainly the most exciting - I think all the games I've covered for RWO this year before this one have been blowouts. And I thought the standard was good - by both sides.
