Does anyone know if they have made the final cut for the rep side. Im sure the side shall be very strong when selected. Were any other players called in for injured players?

The game's on Saturday 11th at Henson Park. Does anyone know what time? I can't seem to find it on the Sydney AFL website.

Rep selectors were out watching the Rd8 games, and I'm sure they'll be out and about again this weekend, but you'd assume the team is pretty much picked barring standout performances and injury in Rd9. I guess we'll all find out early next week.Comment

i also read with interest the re-structured rep team of the Riverina has been named(probably a few weeks ago mind you) with additions coming from Hume League after their narrow loss to Black Diamond and a handful from Northern Riverina after their huge win over Central West,as well as the usual suspects of Farrer and Riverina Leagues...love my country footy so might get down into town to watch this one,as long as Henson sells maroon cans.Comment

It was a big win to the Sydney AFL - they blew the Southern NSW team out of the water with 5 unanswered goals in the first quarter and the contest was well and truly over even then.
Although Sydney AFL were easy winners in a lopsided contest, it was a great spectacle - plenty of open free-flowing football.
I wasn't originally going to do an article this weekend, but I had the camera at the game tonight so I'll write something up after the Swans game tomorrow.

It was a strange afternoon, as Norris and I watched the 2nd half of the Newtown Jets NSW Premier League rugby league match against St George. Then they took the posts down, painted the centre square and 50 m arc then covered up the RL markings with green paint.
For the footy we sat up high in the Grand Stand; was as awesome view. It was a very open free-flowing game of footy, and despite the score was a pretty good spectacle. Far far detached from the chip-kicking keepings off and upteen bal ups we see in the AFL each week. I felt sorry for the bushies, as they had just been on a 5 hour trip from Wagga and were expected to compete on a decidedly greasy surface. But they were very much outclassed by a faster more polished Sydney team. They full back can kick though; he was sending the kick-ins deep into the centre square. (something you would NEVER see at the Swans, would you?)
Just a shame that the fixture was so poorly attended. I'd have said 200-300 were there tops; a smaller crowd that what you'd see at a normal SFL blockbuster. And a great deal smaller than the Jets match earlier in the day.
Well done to the Crow.....er sorry Sydney rep team.
