    Compulsory Student Unionism

Interesting article in yesterdays Telegraph by Grantlee Kieza on a bill seeking to abolish compulsory Student Unionism.

Apparantly the education Minister Brendan Nelson plans to scrap compulsory student union fees and it will be one of the first pieces of legislation before the senate when parliament resumes this week.

In a nutshell it will see huge holes in the sport funding Universities receive. How will this affect clubs like UNSW/ES, Sydney Uni & Macq Uni is anyones guess.

I know Easts merged with Uni because of the obvious financial benefits and the result has been a well run club with a few premiership trophys in the cabinet.

Maybe Luffy can expand on how real the threat is and how it will affect UNSW.
