Sydney is mostly has clay based soils meaning heavy rain dosent drain away easily. People from Perth and Adelaide have told me they never heard of a game cancellation due to the condition of the ground until they came to Sydney.
What a joke that extra game is. Surely the affected teams will protest. Is that a possibility in the constitution of the league???Comment

The end result is that the league has rejected an appeal by Manly. It allows Sydney Uni to receive the points from the extra H&A game they played, and doesn't allow any points to be distributed for the washout games and/or byes.
The NSW AFL's credibility as a professional (yes they get paid for running the game here) sporting organisation is G.A.W.N."As a player he simply should not have been able to do the things he did. Nor is it the Sharks who made a kerfuffle over the issue at the time and missed out on the finals by a game. Although the Sharks and Penrith played the same number of games, the draw for the missed round favoured them to win and the Rams to lose.Originally posted by Bear
