    Sydney - Jets

Congrats to Pekay and the boys from Norwest Jets / Hawkesberry. Ive spelt hawhs wrong but plenty of beers have led to this.

Today I saw a team that took a little bit of advicefrom plenty of people and played a very phyiscal game and used the biggest ground in Sydney to their advantage. I have had opportunities to win a premership (by the way guys my name on RWO Tara is my first daughters name, Im actually a bloke) and didnt cross the line so today to see a team whom I consideder to be underdogs win was fantastic.

To see Pete and the boys and all the family members who have kept this club alive singing together amongst the crowd together was brilliant and reallly made by day. I didnt go to the footy to watch Uni sides with their money win everything today.

As their song refers to old aquanitences(bloody roos) they did their memories proud. Enjoy your beers and remember your mate(RIP).

    Great work boys be proud.

I would like to think that anyone who had played in sides who have strugled will take a lot of heart from the Jets today.

    Party Hard boys.

Congrats to Pekay and the NorWest Jets - great win today. The supporters on the hill; with the hats, aeroplane costume and streamers, made a colourful sight. And for the club, after seeing on here about the dramas they've faced, it's a great turnaround.

Here's some pics I took - enjoy! And Pekay, congratulations.

Nice one Jetters... If you keep winning (and if Big Joe actually plays for a change!!) I might have to come out for a few games next year!

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

          Nor West Jets = champions.

What a fantastic performance from a club that was in doubt as to whether it would even play this season.

          Premiership
Best on ground in GF - Dutchy Holland
          League B&F - Rabbit Burrows
          Leading goalkicker - Luke Ayling
Minor premiership, undefeated home and away season.

The mighty Jets won the lot. It doesn't get much better.
"It's up to the rest of the players in the room to make a new batch of premiership players next year," Adam Goodes, triple Bob Skilton Medallist, October 7, 2011.

          YOU BETCHA!!!!!!

Easily the most physical side I have ever played against. THe bloke called Rabbit and also Dutchy ripped it up... some decent players out there. Congrats guys, you were easily the best team all year.
