Easily the best midfielder in the competition. IMO only Hall, Brown & Pavlich are more valuable players.

Can't agree with you there. I think that Cousins is a far better midfielder.

I just watched the GF again, it was interesting after reading and contributing to this thread to note that whilst Judd got plenty of the football, about 50% of his disposals went either to the Swans directly or indirectly or went out of bounds. Also some of the ball that went to his team mates only got there because of the skills of his team mates.

His kicking at times was like good old "Jack" Daniels when he played for Sydney.

Best player I've seen in a decade & perhaps the best 22yo I've ever seen.

I often thought he was the type of player you could put into a number of sides (including the Swans) & they'd immediately jump from being also-rans to real premiership contenders. Apparently, I got that wrong....

I think that he is the fastest player that I have seen

But The best player in the last decade...as much as I hate to say it...is Nathan Buckley IMO

i actually though cousins was ineffective for the game, there was on forward movement chick juggled and then cousins just took the ball and fudged it.

Judd is way better than cousins IMHO
Theres not much left to say

On the day I think cousins had a lot of mates, The star studded midfield that we were fearing were largely ineffective...but then I am a one eyed Swans supporter

Sorry, what I meant was he's the best NEW player to appear in the last decade. Which would count out the Buckleys, Hirds, Crawfords etc - the kid's only 22, & even if he has a Brownlow & a NS to his name, he has some way to go to reach the status of those blokes.

Yeah, I know where you're coming from.

I reckon that Nathan Ablett will sweep the floor with him for new talent fairly soon.
