Not bad effort that, but surely there's a spot for Chris Judd somewhere?

      Why?
He hasn't got a premiership medal.

Okay, now I've got your attention - and not many bites so it must have been pretty good - I'll give you my real choices.
This team is based on points scored from appearances in the best players throughout the season, as against their winning or losing margins.
Brownlow votes are also taken into account.
I found the team a lot harder to pick than the other leagues I'm involved in as there was an oversupply of midfielders near the top of the list.
Finals are not taken into account.
Here is my real team of the year - although the other one had a lot of merit, and 22 premiership medals
NB: From the 22 as ranked, I had to promote two ruckmen, a full back and centre half back (these were the highest ranked in their positions), as well as Fraser Gehrig, who is automatically full forward with the Coleman Medal around his neck.
The coach is my opinion, pre finals, of who got the most out of his list - everyone I know, myself included, had Adelaide finishing in the bottom four and they finished on top before falling over in the finals.
As much as I wanted to select the messiah, the great Sir Paul Roos, I selected the Swans to make the top four at the start of the year and our premiership, our premiership, our premiership (had to keep saying it so it will sink in - for me that is) is three places higher than I picked us.
Adelaide (4th), were 12 spots higher than my tip.

My AFL Team of the Year 2005

B: Mark Ricciuto (Ade), James Clement (Coll), Dean Cox (WC)
HB: Luke Power (BL), Kane Cornes (PA), Brett Kirk (Syd)
C: Nick Dal Santo (StK), Ben Cousins ? (WC), Luke Hodge (Haw)
HF: Barry Hall (Syd), Matthew Pavlich (Fre), Travis Johnstone (Mel)
F: Brent Harvey (Kan), Fraser Gehrig (StK), Warren Tredrea (PA)
FOLL: Peter Everitt (Haw), Scott West (vc) (WB), Lenny Hayes (StK)
INTER: Chris Judd (WC), Tyson Edwards (Ade), Jude Bolton (Syd), Daniel Kerr (WC)
EMERG: Shane Crawford (Haw), Shane Tuck (Rich), Simon Goodwin (Ade)
        COACH: Neil Craig (Ade)

I will add my Top 50 to this thread tomorrow night.

Chad is the CHB not Kane. Still, if there's only one other defender in the team I guess it doesn't make much of a difference.
