I can't get my DVDs out of the Victory Pack

Gotta love RWO. By checking here while overseas I found out what was the best package and the price and where I might find one. I got back from Antarctica on Tuesday and, on Liz's advice, went straight to Sanity just beyond customs. They said they sold out almost instantly last Friday - and people were still asking all the time but they rang around and finally found the 5DVD pack at Sanity Fox.

So I have the DVDs and have already watched all but the Subi game. I wouldn't have bought them without the support group of RWO. Thanks everyone!

I hate you all !!!!! (no not really - I just was never in the right place at the right time to get the super deal!)

But I have watched it over and over again - not the first final of course coz we lost. I have watched the last quarter of the Geelong game so much that I have lost count.

And the Granny - a day permanently etched into my memory.

It is most unusual nowadays to find staff at mass retail stores willing to go that extra yard, and Sanity may well find themselves getting more business from me in the future.

I have put the Sanity franchise on my permanent banned list.

On two occasions I have been totally unimpressed with their lack of knowledge and service standards.

Exhibit A. I venture in to purchase a copy of The Rolling Stones 40 Licks CD. I ask at the counter, "do you have a copy of said CD" The response I got was "Who are the Rolling Stones" Good product training there.

Exhibit B. Mrs. Dr J. is purchasing Green Day, Bullet in a Bible CD/DVD. The service assistant says and I quote "Oh this must be a Christmas present because you wouldn't be listening to this type of music". I'm sorry, I didn't know that Green Day and its music was the sole realm of the under 21's.

No 3 strikes for that organisation. Its JB all the time for me now.

Oh yes as for the 5 pack DVD set. Got mine for a Chrissie pressie, so no idea how much was paid for it.

oh yeah and forgot to tell you all that my number in is the high 2000's - yes thats right -order it on ezydvd, pay full bloody price and its in the 2000's - however the other one I bought (at HMV)for a friend for xmas was a lower number (and I paid full price AGAIN) but I graciously gave that one too him - I will indeed go to heaven.

Tell ya what, I'm about to give them the flick big time too. I ordered on Dec 13 the Victory pack, on my THIRD visit. The first two I got "What's that?" and "You want something about THAT stupid sport?" as the responses. The third time, the original girl serving me had nfi about what I was talking about, but her manager knew what I meant and ordered me a copy in.

After hearing of friends who ordered theirs in the week leading up to Xmas, and getting them that same week, I went back on Wednesday to enquire where mine was. It turns out that between the item being put into the distribution vehicle and the package (including 3 other Victory Packs and a whole heap of other items as it was just a mass order for many people) arriving at the particular store, ALL FOUR VICTORY PACKS WENT MISSING!

THEN! To top it off, when they spoke with the distributor, they were told that the Sydney manufacturers were no longer making the pack, but that it could be ordered in from Melbourne, Adelaide or PERTH! If the girl could have shot death rays down the phone, she would have, and when she hung up, she said to me "now, correct me if I'm wrong, but the Swans are from Sydney right?" "yes" I said. "And the Swans beat the West Coast Eagles, who are from Perth, right?" "yes" I said. "So let's just confirm, I can order you a copy to be delivered to the WINNER'S state direct from the LOSER'S state?" "That's what you're telling me" I said, rather peeved by this time. So the poor girl then rang around 5 different Sydney stores, only to be told they'd all been told the same thing.

So now I'm waiting on an order from interstate, and the ONLY thing stopping me from cancelling the order is the fact that they sell it at half the price anywhere else does.

No hassle at all, they knew what I was looking for and had the order done in seconds ... Which reminds me of another time I needed to get some music and was looking for a CD by "Steely Dan" - The (youngish 19/20 year old) guy that helped me walked straight from behind the counter to a section (not in Alphabetical order) and lifted just the CD I wanted ... Not that he either knew or even heard their music, I asked ...
Moral ? It isn't the Sanity franchise that is at fault ... It is the kids that they let work there ... I'd look for a different Sanity store Doc...
