    Conflict of interest...or not

Since Andrew Demetriou became head honcho of the AFL, I have been pondering the following question,

"Is it a conflict of interest that after being President of the AFLPA Demetriou is then appointed CEO of the AFL?"

I'd be interested to see what others think. I'm still trying to work it out

It would only be a conflict of interest if he was doing both jobs at the same time, as he is not, I don't think it is.

I guess I was wondering about his inside knowledge about the AFLPA.

Is it similar to Bob Hawke being head of the ACTU and then PM?

On your ridiculous logic it would be a conflict of interest for players and coaches to change clubs as they would have inside information on the opposition.

        Wake up to yuorself.

            Yep,

When moving roles it sometimes helps knowing how things work from the other side of the coin.

Are we referring to the Bob Carr appointment as a consultant to Macquaire Bank role just months after awarding them infrastructure jobs as Permier of NSW?

Yeah...that whole thing stinks like a Kurnell wheelie bin.

It was probably on the cards from the beginning but they would have schemed that 10 weeks was ample time for us to let it slide.

NSW politics is just about the lowest of the low.
