    Alternative words to Club Songs

    When I was in the Swans cheersquad in the 70's we had alternative words to a number of the club songs. Some of them I wouldn't repeat these days but I do remember the Collingwood one;

    Good old Collingwood for never,
They know how to fight the game,
Side by side they fight forever,
    To uphold their dirty name.
    See the barrackers a shouting,
    Whinging left and right.
    And the premiership is coming,
To the good ol' Red and White!

Does anyone know any club songs in a similar vain but that won't get the ********* from the computer

GOOD ONE. Im going to print this up and take it to Telsta next year. I would change one word though

    And the premiership HAS COME
To the good ol' Red and White
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

We have several, here's the best of them:

We are Geelong, the greatest team of all
We are Geelong, we're usually on the ball
We play the game as it should be played
      Until grand final day
And then we lose the plot
We fall apart, down at Kardinia Park.

And this one's dated now, he hasn't been there for a few years, but...

So join in the chorus, and sing it till you're hoarse
Join in the chorus, Wayne Carey's on the sauce
Good old Wayne Carey, Wayne Carey you'll agree
Wayne Carey is an alcoholic, give him more VB.

I remember when I was in my teens watching Dermott Breraton playing for the Pies, 1995 in fact when we beat them in the last round at the SCG to put them out of the finals, I made this song up for them!!

        Bad Old Collingwood Forever
They Don't know how to play the game
Side by side they lose together
        To uphold the Magpie Name
        See the Barrackers are crying
        As all losers should
Oh we all hate the Maaaagpies
And Dermott Breraton is a hood!
        Swannies for life!

          Or this-

          Good old Collingwood forever
They know how to throw a game
Side by side they act like d*ckheads
          And the presidents the same.
