    How much do you hate....

After rewatching the Boo a Roo game it struck me that I still HATE Wayne Carey. What about you?

Used to hate him, but I caught a bit of him on the panel for one of the fox footy shows during GF week and actually was quite surprised at his comments, he seemed surprisingly well-spoken and not a bad bloke.

I wasn't a huge AFL fan when he was in his prime so can't comment on that, but even in 99-00 he was still a darn good player I remember.

Now, I'm more indifferent to him I guess - seems like a different era, now.

Never had a problem with him. But there is no doubt in my mind that he is the most overrated footballer I've ever seen. He was a gun, no doubt about that but some say he's the greatest player ever. That is just ridiculous IMO.

I appreciated that he said Bazza should get off his charge in the week before the Grand Final but now I have turned nasty on him again.

No doubt he was arrogant, but he was also amazingly talented, one of the best players we'll ever see. So I enjoyed watching him play (except when he did well against the Swans) - I certainly didn't dislike him.

Can't stand the arrogant turd. Hated him since his first scandel with a woman. No doubt he was a great footballer, but it doesn't mean I have to like him.

North games just aren't the same without him to boo at.

I have always felt Carey copped way more than he deserved out of the whole affair thing.

If I did that to my best mate, then I would lose his friendship and the friendship of some friends I would say.

Same happened to Carey, but he also lost his job, sponsors, and seriously damaged his future earning capacity.

Just thought that he was more than punnished for his mistake, albeit, his big mistake.

As a footballer, he was awesome.

He pretty much got away with assaulting a woman he never met though so it evens out.

He has been able to continue to earn a significant salary both on and off field for many years leading up to his fall from grace when his personal conduct on and off the field left a lot to be desired.

He got what his team mates felt he deserved. They voted to say they wouldn't play with him.

1 year later he got a contract at another club, poor off-field behaviour coninued, he has media roles on fox, he's back in the game as a coach. I also hear he is expecting a child so is also married to a saint.

                        He's teflon.....

Exactly. Noone blames her do they. I haven't heard anyone blame Kelli Stevens, when she was just as much at fault.

Didn't seem to interfere with future relationships with Dennis Pagan.
