    Micks need Skips

The immediate challenge for Ireland is to overcome what Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) head of games Pat Daly yesterday described as a "cultural resistance" to using Australian expertise and address the glaring deficiencies which have emerged in their preparation and strategies for this year's series.

    ...

"Xenophobic is too strong a word but there would be a cultural resistance on the basis that we can think it out ourselves and are not idiots. There is no reason in the world why we shouldn't be able to tap into the expertise that the West Coast Eagles or Sydney Swans or someone like Tadhg Kennelly might be able to bring to bear."
