    Free Agency ?

    Source

How do you become a club of choice? How would this work with salary cap in place?

Would there be an opportunity for a club to buy a premiership through Free Agents a la North?

    Thoughts?

I don't want this to happen, but we would probably benefit the most from this as we are a very attractive environment for senior footballers.
"As a player he simply should not have been able to do the things he did. Leo was a 185cm, 88kg full-back and played on some of the biggest, fastest and best full-forwards of all time, and constantly beat them." Roos.
Leo Barry? you star! We'll miss ya, ''Leapin''.

I read this and assumed the opposite. I was thinking that interstate players would up and go at the end of the "service period" and we wouldn't be able to halt an exodus.

Given we don't have massive pool of local players to choose from it would be more of a struggle to keep players and we would have to provide other incentives for people to stay. Given limits of the salary cap....what other incentives could we provide.

All that aside - what's the point in keeping someone who doesn't want to be here....
