Good Thread on Eagles Board about Final

Good Thread Here - Eagles Fansite

It makes you think how we might have felt if it had gone tho other way, but it didnt..............yeah!!!!! Thought it was apt as we all begin to rewatch it for the 30th time.

They're a sad bunch over there!

Seriously, it is sobering to think how easily it could have gone the other way. I knew that the first time I watched the replay. Whenever you win a game by less than a kick there's always a lot of luck involved.

But let's not even consider how we might have felt if it did go the other way. Why would you want to put yourself through that misery anyway, especially after many Swans supporters would have experienced it several times anyway in the last 72 years? WE WON!!! It's our time, and no-one can take that feeling away.

Not me. And I've only watched the first three quarters of the '03 PF against Brisbane. I know exactly how they feel.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

I never blamed the umpires for '96 but the Eagles fans seem determined to ignore the fact that they had no forwards worth mentioning playing on the big day.

They also failed to recognise that Micky O missed numerous shots at goal in the last quarter that would have put it way beyond their reach...Oh well, it's not my problem, because we won

I tried watching it about a month ago but I felt really depressed by the end of the 2nd quater so I didn't watch the rest.
