They've been discussing this on Big Footy, but after reading this I don't think there is much argument.

More on the moron
Cousins told officers when questioned this morning that he was driving the Mercedes-Benz four-wheel drive along Canning Highway in Applecross before abandoning it and fleeing the scene with another man, who has not been identified.
...
Assistant Police Commissioner John McRoberts says no charges have been laid at this stage.
"I'm also told that the following morning after the vehicle had been towed away to a holding yard, Mr Cousins presented with the keys to that car and recovered it after paying the towage fees," he said.
"And I think it's now for you to ask Mr Cousins why on earth he would run away from a booze bus."Comment

He shouldn't be too concerned ... they tend to go somewhat easier on professional sportsmen than the average joe in such cases!"You got .. rock 'n roll eyes ..!"Comment

Probably setting myself up for some abuse here, but Cousins contract comes up for renewal end of 2006 - does the Barham Rule exclude him from being a possible Swans signing?
If I were Ben, I would seriously be considering a move to an environment with a tad less scrutiny than Perth & where my organised crime contacts weren't quite so visible. [He might be able to get his driving licence back here too.]
From Swans' perspective, he's the sort of class midfielder we'd love to have - and he's only 27, about the same age as BBBH was when he joined us. A nice Willo replacement you'd think.
Just a thought in any event...Comment

At 27 I'd expect that his d*ckhead-edness was well and truly entrenched. I don't think BBBH had any sort of off-field reputation. Was purely known as bad boy on. Happily be corrected on this but living in Melbourne before he came to sydney I don't recall his name in the paper. Same with Lockett (I'm not counting crutches at journalists).
I'd prefer not to have a player that was friends with the underworld, punched up team mates, and did a runner to avoid going DUI.
He's a great player but I don't think he's worth the trouble he brings to a club. WCE have given him a LOT of rope.Comment

Thanks for your feedback....aren't all three of these incidents matters of public record. I believe that Cuzz was disciplined on the first two and will be on this latest episode. More than happy to be corrected if what I've stated is not indeed true.
Doesn't change my opinion - he's a d*ckhead and I'd prefer he didn't play for the Swans.Comment
