    Tomorrow's Squad

Here is the 27 man squad listed on the AFL site. Note that Tadhg isn't listed to play in the following squad, yet the club name him as one of the returning premiership players in an article on the club site. Strong looking side in any case.

So on my reckoning we will still be 9 short of our best.

Are there any rules regarding numbers on interchange for these games? The hottest part of the day will be at 4pm, and the forecast is for mid 30's.

Exactly right....13 top 22 players, 5 fringe players, and 9 without AFL experience.

            Changes will surprise Bombers

THE Swans team that will defend the premiership flag in 2006 will start to take shape this afternoon against Essendon, but that won't stop us throwing in a few surprises.
            - Schneider = back pocket.
            - Richards = centre half back.
            - Jolly = full back.
            - Chambers = forward pocket.
            - Malceski = half back flank.
            - Vogels = back pocket.

Hmm, I wonder who's going to ruck in that case.

Don't see the point with Jolly at FB but it will be interesting if someone can give a report on how it goes.

If he wants to give him a try in a different position to test his fitness (and I guess keep him away from centre bounces) then it does make some sense... FF isn't too out of the norm for him and CHF/CHB may be too taxing for his first hit out... although Roos may just be confusing himself, he says in the article that Vogels will move from FB to BP with the return of Barry, then goes on to say that Jolly will play FB. Although he is probably just talking about what he will try out through out the game.

I'll be interested to hear where Nicky D plays from the folks that will be attending.

I love this stuff. Roos continues the foxing with Sheeds who must look at a lineup like this and laugh. I wonder if Roosy plans on showing up to this game or not.

what do the asterisks in the team line up mean? Are we trying a new rotational system for the captaincy or does this just mean these guys get to cut the oranges up this weekend?
