Membership Question

OK, I'm a first time member this year and I'm wonering whether I should be worried that I haven't gotten my Membership Card yet.

I got the first package they sent out with like the magnet and stickers and stuff, and there was a letter sying a second package with the membership card would be sent out in early 2006. Should I be wondering what's happened to it yet?

Its still 4 weeks before the season starts....going on past experience, not having received anything at this stage of the year is nothing to worry about.

I got my membership card with the package you got.

Mine is Premiership Club so that might have something to do with it.

yeh im also im the premiership club & i got my magnet & stuff a few weeks ago & i got the cheersquad badge & letter a couple of weeks ago

I recieved my Victorian membership a few weeks back, but am still waiting on my Sydney membership to turn up.

btw if I am a Victorian and Sydney member, do I have the right to purchase two grand final tickets??

To answer seriously, no you don't.

You can only definitely puchase (1) Grand final ticket if you pay the really high membership for Bloods or redbacks or Cheer squad memberships.

If you pay the extra $20 or so for a "Grand Final Preference" then your chances are very good. As far as I know everybody who had GF preference who wanted to go was able to buy a ticket.

I had paid the extra $20 at the start of the year but couldn't afford the $140 or so for the ticket itself!

Looking carefully at your question, though...yes you can buy two tickets as you have paid for two separate memberships and would have two separate bar codes to use at the ticket booth.

Welcome R-1. Don't worry the cards seem to get later each year. Still 4 weeks to go until we unfurl that magnificent flag just before we crush Port. I'm giving the membership department a call 2 weeks before the season if they still haven't arrived.

My wife and I were just season ticket holders last year (Victoria based) and were able to get standing room as members, but when the AFL released AFL reserve tickets on the Friday we got two seats (Wife was 6 months pregnant). Sold the standing room to friends at face value.

I was a 'plain member' last year and got tickets to the GF. It was a long line up on the Saturday, but yeah, i still got some thankfully! It just depended on how keen you were i guess??
