    Same procedure as last year

Roos not worried by early season loses and the side should be ready for season "kick off" (will the Sydney media ever learn that they don't kick off?)

No surprises here really, except maybe:
Recruits Paul Chambers and Ted Richards and rookie Luke Vogels had impressed in the trial games and probably earned spots in the senior side, he [Roos] said.

I feel as though they are wallpapering over the cracks. Doom, doom and gloom.

I think I feel this way as I was saying to two blokes I was chatting to at the Devonport Cup.....who said they felt the same ...as we had barracked for the Swans for sooooo long...always hoping and never really expecting us to win the premiership....so we are left with the feeling of "What do we do now?"

Our hope has been taken away from us, we are aimless, purposeless. Realistically, statistically we wont go back-to-back so any thing that is said about this we know is not realistic except for the fact that there is only one way to go. DOWN.

In some ways it's almost not worth winning the premiership as I now feel empty. Thank heavens I have the memories of the best day of my life to fall back on. I better not get Alzheimers.

The thing I love about RWO is the level of empathy displayed by some of the more mature posters. Well done Bexl - I'm sure you have made smpd feel heaps better this morning.

Istill feel thrilled that we won the flag, in no way empty, and I think that smpd maybe should still be thankfull that his team won the premiership and have a bit more faith for this year and the future as well.

Statistically we had no chance in 2005 either.

Snap out of it - that post wasn't made by the Satchmo we know.

Ah... maybe a little cranky after another beer goggles incident with a Richmond fan?

Well that'll make it a bitchy comment then ...

                      Beer goggles?
                      Richmond?

                          What cracks?

We go into a season where we have recruited a ready made in Richards and Doyle if he stands up will add great height value around the ground. As I have said before, if we get a full season out of Doyle, he will add incredible value to lots of facets of our game.

He is good at dropping back across half back and is a man mountain. Posters here have lamented at our lack of height down back for yonks.

We have a great deal to be optimistic about.

I assumed Satchmo was just being deliberately forlorn.

Also - why use an acronym and then type it out in full as well?
