Don't mention betting on Amon to the Old Royboy

He had 20 on him for the Norm Smith at 70-1

Some might say he was robbed!

Yes Ert - was witness to that bet being placed at the pub in Geelong - the vibe was good - but the judges on GF day got it so so wrong.

        Lets hope this year!
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

When I ran into Monty at the B&F he said that half of Colac had money on him and were p****d off he didn?t get the Norm Smith. So I was certainly not alone. The umpies always take notice of flashy types like Judd, an in and under 1%er bloke like Monty needs to build a reputation (which he did last year) before he will attract votes. Even if he has come in from 1000/1 to 400/1 I reckon that is still a good value bet. Re the premiership, I would suggest waiting till round 6 when we should have our normal 2-4 record at that time of the season. Odds will be much tastier then.

ps: Ert was robbed too, he showed me how to pace the bet and was due a commission if Monty had gotten the judges verdict.

I had $100 on Fossie at 120-1 and he was better than Amon.

                  I had $1000 on Bevan at 20-1... I reckon I erred...

I'd have given you 20-1 that he would play, having seen him at Manuka in the weeks before.

Could not resist, $25 each way. Drinks are on ORB if he gets up - $12500 for the win, $2500 the place. With my luck the poor bugger will probably do an ACL in round 1.
