    Inside Football on the Swans

    Who's Flying
Nick Malceski (not going to miss out this year)
    Jarrad McVeigh (ditto)
Stephen Doyle (forgot about him, didn't you)
Luke Ablett (arrived as a midfield force)

    Who's Not
Tadhg Kennelly 9injury a blow to Sydney)
Barry Hall (eye surgery curtailed summer)
Brett Kirk (but elbowing his way back)

Amongst Ben Casanella's Player Profiles, we have . . .

    Luke Vogels
". . . played 11 games but dropped after the finals win over West Coast."

    LRT
"The surprise of the grand final in which he thrashed Michael Gardiner."

    Darren Jolly
"Interesting to see how he performs with Ball alongside."

    Heath Grundy
    ". . . being groomed as a key defender."

    Adam Goodes
    ". . . a vital cog in the wheel."

Every time I buy this mag I end up wondering why I bother (yes, I know, it's because I'm an addict. It was a rhetorical question). The majority of threads on RWO offer far more than IF does.

When did we win a final (not the GF) over West Coast last year, so Vogels could be dropped?

BTW: The AFL annual report has a picture of last years winning premiership team shrouded by the teams coloured confetti. Wonder who that might be?

I thought Leo Barry played on Gardiner?

I believe all the quotes selected from Mr Casanella's review are factually incorrect.

Holy crap that's abysmal journalism!! How can you managed that many mistakes in a single article!

We can only assume he missed some of the detail in one of the most enthralling sporting finals ever!

Nice work Ben. We're all big fans YOU JOKE!

i'm the same. i actually stopped buying it about half-way through last year. kind of annoyed with that now (although i bought the finals editions).

mostly crap whining on about the fortunes of saint kilda and collingwood. jim main is a complete embarrassment.
then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i know

                  * I mean his football journalism, the novel he wrote was perhaps the worst thing written since Derryn Hinch's "Death at Newport"

Yeah but we need our own supporters in the media to keep up with the Eddies, Conollys and Gossages of the world. There are very few impartial and level-headed commentators out there.

Remember 2003 when Casanelia had a bet with Main that the swans would win less than 6 games for the year?
