Just heard Longmire and Rendall on the radio.

Johnny didn't mention any injuries and said they were pleased with the hitout. Said Richards and Schneider went well.

Rendall said had 3 oldies left in Melbourne but said Nick Davis was outstanding and had none who could get anywhere near controlling him.

Hopefully no injuries and the smart fox Roos has them spot on for round 1.

Will be mid - range Aints - when we are in form we have never had trouble beating them. S&Don on the other hand.........

I thought earlier bumbers might be flag favourites but Stanton and a few other may really add to their midfield.

If players like Peckett & Thompson are still walk up starts at 34 you are ordinary.

      No Backline
      No Ruck
Average age of their side must be 26 (at least 3 years older than us)
Shallow in the midfield (they have no depth anywhere)
Been lucky past couple of years that there haven't been many good sides around (especially in Melb) where they have been the best of the Vic sides. But the likes of Cwood & S&Don etc will make up that ground this year.

Besides they just aren't mentally tough/ determined enough. Not a challange - just some hype

The sides of concern are Adelaide, West Coast, BrisVegas, S&Dung, Geelong & I suspect either Eade or Wallace will get it together with their sides

You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby Ziegler

            I hate S&Don.

They are the great Satan - I wish we had beaten them in the GF or finals.

I want to see what has happened to Carlton happen to them. I hate them, If not for S&Don I would have grown up a happy suburban accountant, or Dr or Lawyer - but the past 25 years has been torture.

Beating them in Melb is everything.

              Don't hold back Reggi.

Beating them in Sydney is pretty sweet as well. Although not as enjoyable as seeing the evil empire being defeated with Lord Eddie at the helm

                OK I won't

I wanna sow salt into their football ground so grass can never grow again.

Paint that Cr@p stand pink then knock the thing down myself. Sell all they players and staff and supporters into slavery somewhere in darkest Africa, or maybe Siberia, where they will never be heard from again.

Although maybe they should be forced to suffer more than that.

I hate S&Don. I hated that S&don supporter who after the GF looked at A Swans supporter and said "Now you know what it feels like to be an Essendon supporter"

No she doesn't she has some personality.

I hate S&Don. I hate anything to do with S&Don

I want to beat them in two weeks. Whilst we are Premiers

just saw the swans dispatch the saints with ease at no.1 sportsground at newcastle. Nick Davis was awesome, had the ball on a string. think he kicked 5 or 6 and could've easily had 10.

think he's finally worked out that hard work pays off! Gee Fregus Watts looks like Reiwoldt from the sidelines. very hard to tell the difference from a distance.

Thought the aints would have been much better, that was the Swans first pre-season win in 13 matches.

Makes me wonder if our win over the Saints was that impressive after all. They boys from Moorabin had pretty much a full side in and looked all over the shop.

I am with you all the way. Essendon are the team I love to beat the most. Their supporters are sooooo cocky. All through the eighties and nineties I had to sit there and take their crap, and I have always been outnumbered. Except for that brief abberration in 87 when we kicked a record score against them it has been fallow ground.

                        I WANT TO WIN RD1.

                          Yes

At least that 169 point win left mental scars. Sheedy wandered around Sydney for 2 days in a daze - and they were beating us early.

I think that effected him - even last year he could not say anything nice about is

Very enjoyable afternoon of footy. There was a fair turn-out... lots of red and white. I suppose thats what a premiership does for you!

Teddy was awesome. I thought Jude played really well and Davis was outstanding. LRT seemed a bit quiet and Vogels didn't do much.

Also was really impressed by Nicky-D after the match. He spent a substantial amout of time signing autographs for the kids before he hit the showers and again when he came out. was the only player that took the time to do this, so well done mate!
